Invitation to the art residency of the Garage Museum

Garage Studios comprises 18 separate workspaces, a shared studio, project spaces, and a painting studio. The program aims to create a platform for work, communication, and exchange of knowledge for artists from Moscow, Russia’s regions, and abroad. The focus of the 2024 residency is the support of social connections and the creation of a safe environment for artists’ personal and collective practices. The Studios’ educational program will include meetings with people active in the artistic process and practical sessions. Participants will also be offered a course of lectures on three areas: nature/culture, the body/technology, domination/resistance.

 The open call for participation in the program took place in March of 2024. The museum received a total of 517 applications, out of which 17 were selected, including mine. I will start working at the residency in September and will spend three months there.
