Pre-orders for my new artist book “Sunset Existed No More” open on May 28.
In July 2025, a fire destroyed my art archive from 2012–2022 and personal belongings of several generations of my family. This loss prompted the creation of a tiny work — a book the size of a matchbox. The visual narrative in the project will be built on images of the fire, the text of the preliminary emergency investigation report, and a photograph of the burning archive. For the book, as is my tradition, I will develop a handmade paper recipe; this time, one of the ingredients will be ashes from a burned copy of the photobook Lookbook. A fragrance composition will be created for the packaging.
Edition of 50 copies. The price varies from 4,000 to 10,000 rubles depending on the copy number. Main production is scheduled for June–August 2026, with the first copies shipping in the second half of August.
