I’m glad to share that I will take part in the first webinar of “Visions of ecology” — a year-long series on art and the environment supported by the Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies Program at the Whitney and Betty Macmillan Center, Yale University, USA.
The webinars bring together scholars from a range of disciplines with artists and museum professionals to discuss ecology and art and to talk about topics they study from different perspectives.
My presentation entitled “Echoes of collapsing mountains and cracking Earth” will be devoted to the project “Under the Dome”, where I explored the sites of meteorite impacts in the Urals.
At the same time Andy Bruno, associate professor at Northern Illinois University, will talk on the 1908 Tunguska phenomenon, highlighting the significance of mystery in this plot.
Registration for Zoom is here.
