
The 9th Present Continuous Competition is now over. This annual joint initiative of the V–A–C Foundation and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Antwerp (M HKA) is aimed at promoting young Russian art.
The selection was carried out in two stages. First, independent experts nominated the following artists to the short-list: Alexandra Paperno, Sara Culmann, Anastasia Bogomolova, Lyudmila Kalinichenko, Anastasia Vepreva, and eeefff group. After that, the artists met with the jury: M HKA Director Bart De Baere, V–A–C Foundation Director Teresa Iarocci Mavica, and Warsaw Museum of Modern Art Director Joanna Mytkowska. The winner was selected based on the interviews. And the winner is me.
The V–A–C Foundation will acquire my artwork and transfer it to the M HKA collection.
