The theme of the AW Auctions is “Women Artists. One and The Other “, and it’s intended to reflect the diversity of practices and themes in the art that women artists create in Russia. 26 female artists were invited to participate in the event, and each of them proposed another woman artist — the important, interesting or close to themself. In the printed version of the auction catalogue, the order in which the lots will be presented is deliberately violated: the spread contains pairs of authors.
