Every year a studio residency for Swiss artists in Russia and for artists from Russia in Switzerland supported by Pro Helvetia provides the chance to gain a broad insight into a different cultural environment. The aim of the residency is to find inspiration, establish networks and contemplate new projects and cooperations. In addition to a place to work and accommodation, Pro Helvetia provides specific coaching. The Swiss Arts Council covers the costs of travel, insurance and per diem expenses.
In 2018 more than 50 applicants from Russia took part in the open call for 2019 studio residencies. And I’m among finalists. I’m going to work at PROGR Art Center in Bern, Switzerland, for 3 months, from September till December.
