The group exhibition «The beginning, the end and almost everything in between. To the 100th anniversary of Ingmar Bergman»
October 17 – November 25, 2018
National Center for contemporary arts (Ural branch), Yekaterinburg, Russia
Curator: Svetlana Usoltseva
The exhibition for the 100th anniversary of Ingmar Bergman reveals the influence of the director not only on cinema but also on visual culture in general. One exhibition space presents works by contemporary artists and archival materials – photographs from the set and the director’s private life provided by the Swedish Institute. They are united by themes characteristic of the Berman's films: loneliness, relationships with others, relationships with themselves, monologues and dialogues.
