In the fall of 2021 the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts / NCCA Ekaterinburg launched the Young Artist Lab and invited me to become one of the laboratory’s tutors. My workshop called “Geology of ideas and artistic research”. After finishing it the Kinolook team and independent curator Zhenya Chaika came to my studio and asked me about working in this space and my impressions of tutoring. The conversation has just been published, but it took place a month before the war in Ukraine; I was full of hope and strength then. Now I want to capture this discrepancy between the video and todays.
