During April, Yekaterinburg will host the 2nd Ural Kvartirale — a series of self-organized exhibitions, performances and shows in studios, apartments and other private spaces of artists and curators of the city. This project, which was first initiated in 2020, is intended as a networking tool to strengthen connections in the art community, which now seems even more important. At the 1st Kvartirale, I showed a sketch of the installation on the refrigerator at home. This time I have invited the artist Ksenia Markelova to present her works at my studio in NCCA Ekaterinburg. She will show graphics and a new sculpture, and I will present some new works from the Assemblage. Using in completely different visual languages, our projects touch upon the topic of transformation and bodily modification.
The full program of the Kvartirale is available here.
